I remember totally loving this fella's first two albums and was looking forward to many more but sadly he died far too young.

I have featured this track on another post in recents years (forget which) but it deserves another spin as the orchestration is quite outstanding! A very soulful downtempo with Skalp and Jaki Whitren.

Wow, so many great tunes to check out here fellows! Great idea Phil on the thread, I'll have to get my thinking cap on.
Off the top of my head, one of my all time favourite ballads has to be this, Sam Dees 'After All' from 1989.
It just drips soul, passion and pain with wonderful lush orchestration and production, wonderful sax playing and Sam's pouring out his heart and feelings to his 'ex'!
You cant post one without the other!!
