It would be interesting to share a few that you know. Particularly when you come across LPs in record or charity shops and think 'there must be something good on there'
From memory and I'm sure I'll think of loads after this is posted
Mac Davis - "Im just in love", a soft rock / country crooner who, without trying, provided a soul room gem that's fetching big money Queen - "Kool Kat" - Freddie Mercury doing his best to sound like Loleatta Holloway on the Hot Space LP. And succeeds to the max. Elkie Brooks - "Rising cost of love" - IMO, the best version Cheryl Ladd - 'Skinnydippin' from the self-titled LP and also a French, extended 12" that, IMO, takes the Ramona Brooks version to another level. Johnny Mathis - Beguine the begine - the Gene Page extended 12" mix is just pure disco magic Toulouse - The self-titled LP is well worth picking up if you come across it. "It always ends up this way", for me, the pick of them. Carol King - the 'Tapestry' LP is an absolute masterpiece that everyone should own Crystal Grass - most of their tracks are more than hard enough to get hold of for collectors Kiki Dee - 'Stay with me' LP - 'Don't Stop Loving Me', 'One step', 'You're holding me too tight', Summer - Coming Home LP - if you come across this (tribute / fund raising) LP dont even think of putting it back on a rack, it's, simply, f@@kin' amazing
Anymore tips would be much appreciated - rock and pop artists, weird looking people, lounge room crooners, people who look like cartel gangs, that sort of thing

Although he's a black artist, this LP is full of Country and Western music. Hence the LP title! (Roger you'll love the full album lol)
Two great soul tracks on this LP.

I know Van is probably accepted as a strong soul guy but this never seems to get mentioned and I love it
