Not sure how many of you are aware of this App.
It's called VRadio. It's a radio streaming / recording App.
If you have a smartphone with decent storage space or an added micro SD card inside your phone you can record radio shows and many of them too. You can even set up scheduled recordings of weekly shows and your phone will automatically start recording a show every week.
Fun in you're in the cinema and that weekly show happens to be the weekly Wednesday Starpoint Radio winddown zone 9 - 12pm lol. I've had to reach for the volume on the phone quickly a few times whilst sat watching a movie!
If you search Solar Radio you'll find it and you can add it to your favourites. Mi-Soul is also searchable. In fact there are thousands of stations in their database from around the World so you can listen at your leisure. Under categories you'll find all the different genres and SOUL is there.
Starpoint Radio isn't in their searchable database but if you go to USER STATIONS select the + icon and select create station.
You'll see....
Name :
Stream URL
Website
For Starpoint Radio enter :
Name : Starpoint Radio
Stream URL : stream2.hippynet.co.uk:8084/stream.mp3
Website : www.starpointradio.com/
and make sure you select SAVE.
Then simply click on your favourites and that station you saved will be there. Click on it and it will start streaming. To record, simply hit the circle button on the right.
For Global Soul Radio enter :
Name : Global Soul Radio
Stream URL : streams.radio.co/s91ab79ddc/listen
Website : globalsoulradio.com/
For Totally Wired Radio enter :
Name : Totally Wired Radio
Stream URL : totallywired.out.airtime.pro/totallywired_a
Website : totallywiredradio.com/
For DJ's who perhaps, up till now couldn't record their shows, now you can!
It's also a decent app that's battery friendly. You should find your battery will still perform well.
ENJOY!
P.s. It's very handy if you happen to just start listening to a show and sometimes a killer track is already playing, but the DJ doesn't announce it or maybe he named it before you tuned in, so that record button is ever so useful as you now have part of a reference track recorded to chase up on later! Especially if SHAZAM doesn't recognize it either.
