Misleading title, it's what appears on most of the fruit juice sold in Florida, which is a roundabout way of talking about Malaco records. Can't speak for the rest of you but I think they have issued some awesome stuff on the main and sister lables (why are they always female?) Chimneyville etc. So i thought i'd start a thread and see if others were of a like mind. Thread title hopefully make folk at least open the thread.
Well here are three to set the ball rolling, don't leave me hung out here on my own
This is actually in my car at the moment also done by Thomas & Taylor
Always liked the easy feel of this
Lets see you all top these

Should have started with this and apologies if it's posted elsewhere. But this is so darn good, bass, strings, horns, Bobby's gravelly voice at its best Love it love it etc

Is there only me likes this type of thing??? No! I’m just a bit rubbish with labels. It’s enough for me to remember who sang what, if you ask me what it was on I glaze over 🙃🤣😁

A lot of southern soul can sound quite samey to me, but there are some absolute gems in there for sure, including this by Jewel Bass:

I thought this Shirley Brown 1991 album suffered a bit production-wise, relying on the programming too much, but this was the standout for me:

Some very choice cuts off the 2 albums cut on Malaco subsidiary Muscle Shoals Sounds (say that quickly) by Mosley and Johnson (formerly Mojoba), including this:
