Paul, I don’t know where you get the time, energy and commitment to trawl the drawl. I’m guess for every new tune you post; you must listen to ten or more, but I for one am very grateful that you do. Soul Strutter was always the main “go to” place as well as listening to the podcasts of Mark Merry, Matts etc. Now the focus has switched to EMS, still listen to MM, for new tunes.

Not sure wallowing in the past is the correct terminology, and don’t worry no offence taken by the comment, as for everything that gets posted in the revival section, I’m guessing there are multiples by the million of other things that are not. Many of these unposted millions are known to me but a lot more are new to me.

I will agree to wallowing to some extent as music has a quality to invoke memories, where you first heard things, who were you with, good times and bad, etc.

I do spend a fair bit of time in the car, shopping, picking up the grandkids from school etc, although they are not enamoured with my taste!

I used to post the track listing of the cd’s but there seemed to be little appetite for them so I stopped. I don’t know what made me post this one. I’d be happy to post more cd listings, if they were of interest to others and would welcome other people’s track listing if they were to post.

I’m guessing from my numbering systems that I have somewhere in the region of seven or eight hundred home-made cd’s, plus ones I have received from others. Then there is the shop bought ones, from which I have lifted many of the tracks for my compilations. I would assume there are less than one percent of all the albums, CDs etc that I have purchased over the years where I like the whole album and many purchases were to secure a single track. So, making my own compilations was a no brainer.

It’s a pity more don’t post on this thread and others. There was a sprinkling of other posters to start with, Steve66 for one, but it has died away. I think “Southsider” has picked up the reigns and I am very grateful to have him on board.

I appear to have got a dose of the verbal’s so I will stop here, but I will pm you more about TOC later today.

I’m cutting down on the trawling for new stuff, there’s just so much crap to wade through these days on the digital music platforms, and our lives are short enough.

I enjoy posting when I can though and adding a bit of background info where possible. I think it's nice to learn something about the artists we love, rather than just their name and song titles, and I quite like writing too which helps.

Thanks for the info re) your compilation CDs. The posted playlist for me is a welcome addition to your postings, a summary of some of your individual posts and a quicker reference if needed. I’m sure others appreciate it too but just don’t acknowledge it or actively engage here.
